  1. Following my prostate op, I was catheterised and the bag quickly filled with urine and blood. I asked the black nurse if she could empty it and my request was ignored. I repeated the request to a white nurse, who duly emptied the bag and said that if the tube was to back up, I could be in trouble. . .another example of a lack of care by a black person.

  3. I had to ask a white nurse to empty my bag, following a prostate resection. My request to a black nurse to empty it, as it was absolutely full was ignored. Had it have backed up, i could have been in trouble according to the white nurse, who duly emptied it out.
