  1. I just remember the joke my father told of this. The story there being that when Lady Godiva went for her ride, she rode sidesaddle. So the people on that side were asked/ordered to keep their windows closed. The "peeping tom", after looking out the window as she rode by, was to have originated the phrase "hooray for our side" because of it.
