  2. If we're getting rid of ANY coin it should be the dime. Two nickels or 10 pennies will take it's place, and the dime is too close to the penny in size.

  3. And what happens if we eliminate the penny? All the prices get rounded *UP* to the nearest 5 cents, and anything they PAY you gets rounded DOWN to the nearest 5 cents. We'll get seriously screwed all around. The thing that needs to be looked into is just WHY it costs 2-3 cents to make a penny. Somewhere there's graft, corruption, or just plain incompetence. Why not just get rid of ALL coins and just raise the price of everything to the next highest dollar (and pay you at the next lowest dollar).

  5. Yes, and everything you buy will get rounded UP to the next dollar (even if it's only $.01 over), and everything you get paid will get rounded DOWN to the next lower dollar (even if it was $0.99).
