  2. My own personal connection to this; my father was a field service rep for an instrumentation company that had gauges in the various NASA craft. One day dad had just come back from a business trip, and I remember holding some burned instrumentation he had picked up on his business trip. Thick-headed 7 year old I was back then (not much has changed) I presumed these were from an airplane (they made a lot of instrumentation for aircraft). Didn't make the connection until some 20 or so years later when my mother said she had told him to get the gauges out of the house because they were creeping her out.
