  1. Tucker Carlson may have said it's a "return to Feudalisn" in a flippant manner, but I seriously think that's what's going on here. The old aristocracy hated the rise of the Middle Class, and the end of the Feudal system, with them as the unquestionable Lords and us as the lower than dirt Serfs. So they are on a mission to destroy our liberties and individuality, and bring themselves to absolute power again.
