  1. He's not wrong though. While there is good reason for that fear-mongering (many of those fears being true) and the "Left" having gone completely over-the-top insane with it, doesn't mean the "right" doesn't bear some responsibility as well.

  2. I suspect Walter Cronkite simply trusted the journalistic integrity of the network's news staff, probably more than he should have.

  3.  @tracybarhite1764  He isn't wrong, it's just that a lot of that fear is justified these days. But the there's plenty of rhetoric that pushes the extreme viewpoint as much as the "left" does it.
