  2.  @dangeorge809  I was going to bring up Space Battleship Yamato myself. And SBY 2199 is a prime example of how to do a reboot right; respect the original, fix the things that could have been done better, flesh out the characters, etc. And when Hollywood flogs their claims of "diversity"? SBY 2199 created a more diverse set of characters, but made them fit the story rather than the other way around. They fleshed out the story, and they absolutely didn't shove it into your face and preach at you.
