  1. I don't know, the Democrats having their "Shadow Cabinet" is a fair enough proposition, how it's implemented and used makes all the difference. If it's essentially a "think tank" sort of system (something like the Libertarian Party had back in the 1990's) where they present their ideas, given in a respectful manner, providing some balance to govenment policy. Heck they might even have some useful ideas (provided the far extremists aren't part of it). On the other hand, if they use their cronies in the legacy media to push THEIR proclamations over the regular cabinet, or use theirs to undermine what the Trump administration is doing, then it would be a waste of everybody's time and would be counter-productive. But even in the latter case, there's the old saying: "better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt".
