  2.  @JayOwinFull  The sad truth isn't it. As Larry Sharpe had pointed out, people won't vote for change merely for the purpose of change. They have to feel there will be something gained in doing it, that there is some hope for positive outcomes. Merely voting for the republicrat because you dislike the demoplican (or the other way around) is a wasted vote. Look to third-party candidates and make sure the Ds or Rs don't get your vote.

  3. We just need to re-think the election system. Maybe have a modification of the electoral system, where you pick 100-200 people by lottery within each congressional district, and THEY get to be the ones voting for president. You need a number large enough that they can't be readily compromised/bribed by any candidate/party, yet still small enough that third-party candidates can ALSO present their platforms to the expended electors. Put an end to the traveling sideshows that our presidential elections have become. And elections for US Senate seats should be tallied BY COUNTY in each state, and the the candidate winning the most counties is the one that gets elected. Elections for the House would remain as popular-vote elections as they are now.
