Nah, I'd be in a screening room watching classic 80's and 90's anime. I could keep rewatching the same few shows because by the time I rotated back to the beginning of the list I'd already have forgotten them. But considering dad, grandma and great-grandma all died at 79, I probably don't have to worry about my 80's anyway. But already went through the Alzheimer's with my grandmother anyway. And back then there was pretty much nothing for support resources, and not much means for looking up any that might have existed at the time.

We'll tend to forget the downsides of an era when we get nostalgic about it. Usually just the top 10-20% bubbles up (especially if you follow Sturgeon's Law). I might remember all the good music of the 1960's (along with lesser-known music of the era I discovered later), then I remember Bobby Goldsboro and the like. for the 1970's earlier on I might have thought more of the cr(uft) that came out then, and the way the inner cities were just falling apart. It's only later I rediscover what was interesting about the time (but still remember that Minnie Ripperton, Starland Vocal Band, Gilbert o'Sullivan, and similar performers were an atrocity on the pop music genre).
