  1. Not denying your experience, but not the impression I had gotten of him. I would see him at Lunacon every year, on a couple occasions acting as assistant for him at autograph sessions. He was a definite flirt, which I expect would have been severely frowned upon in present-day conventions (I never saw him pushing himself on anyone, so don't get the wrong impression there either). I just finished re-reading the Foundation Trilogy, and while I could point out a handful of flaws (as you likely can with any classic work of fiction), and could see the particular biases of the time it was written, it's still an amazing work, and I don't think I could ever be that good (certainly not as prolific)
