  1.  @xxdesertstorm  Those other buildings didn't collapse because they had a different type of construction. The WTC was a tube with floors and minimal columns on the inside. Typically buildings would have more internal supports, and the floor beams may even be attached differently. The airplanes broke the stability of the shell, and there was aviation fuel spilled all through the impact zone causing high temperature fires.

  7. How odd, I was thinking about this case just yesterday (probably about the time you were probably posting it). I was opening a juice bottle and thinking how the seal under the cap was possibly not enough to show tampering.

  8. And to think, the safety upgrade was expected to cost $400K, but delayed for budget reasons. The accident is expected to cost $4M (not including lawsuits). Not that you can predict which location is most at risk.
