@lunarminx But in advanced countres, we need fewer people to maintain our infrastructure. So a declining population in the US isn't as much of an issue. And thanks to boneheaded policies from the Biden Administration, we're increasing our population anyway (just not with people interested in maintaining American values).

And the US government has been STUPID regarding Taiwan. On one hand we're hearing how Taiwan is an important ally, yet the US government refuses to recognize Taiwan as an autonomous independent country, and keep saying they support a "One China" policy. How is thet supposed to work? If Taiwan isn't recognized as it's own government, a "One China" policy implies the US endorses the CCP taking over Taiwan. We already know how that worked out for Hong Kong.

Not really concerned about China's birthrate decreasing. In fact, it's likely a GOOD thing for all concerned. They become less of a threat on the world that way. Now Japan? THEIR population decline could be a problem.
