  1. The thing is, as a Linux, LibreOffice and Firefox user (as well as a former NetWare engineer), I would actually trust Microsoft more than Google now. Not that I trust Microsoft.

  2. Interesting that all but ONE of the browsers in the Alliance are Chromium-based, just like MS Edge. Doesn't matter which one you pick, Chromium browsers all face the same flaws and the same vulnerabilities. When the day comes that a severe vulnerability hits Chromium Core, then all those Chromium browsers will fail as one.

  3.  @danjuroff  YouTube is a secondary (or tertiary?) platform for his videos. They're just mirrored from his Rumble/Locals channel. YT is handy for those of us not set up for Locals memberships yet (although I would prefer if they were on Odysee).

  4. I'll stick with Ungoogled Chromium for when I need Chrome compatibility (such as any site with the BROKEN Cloudflare filtering).

  5. I've known about Waterfox for years, used it as my default for a time. Problem is they don't differentiate themselves much from Firefox to make it worthwhile. If they were smart they'd take the opportunity to undo some of the boneheaded decisions Firefox has made, but that would require some actual coding.

  7. Maybe, although seeing the way the Mozilla Foundation is behaving, it should be Ladybird Browser instead of Firefox.

  10. Considering Google is Microsoft's biggest competitor at this stage, I thought it was stupid for them to re-base Edge on Chromium-core. They should have used Mozilla/Firefox, but I suspect the irony of depending on a descendent of a browser they once went out of their way to destroy would have made their heads explode (probably not a bad thing there either).
