Does anyone remember when OpenSource was libertarian-oriented? They didn't care about your politics, sexuality, race, etc as long as you could write good code.

Android isn't necessarily a bad OS, if you can run AOSP or some derivative thereof. The problem comes down to most Android phones being locked down. If vendors were forced to make the phones rootable we'd be in a better situation. So how can I move into a career that doesn't involve computers at all?

@thomasmaughan4798 It's unsustainable not to be libertarian. The attitude was that your preferences, race, gender, etc were irrelavent to your coding ability, how well you could build a system, how well you could train others, etc. Moving away from that only leads to the death of your project. (hmmm... so if DEI & such kill your project, maybe we should encourage the Gnome Project to step it up... <G>)

With all the batshit crazy nutcases in Codeberg, GitHib, etc, we might see a resurgence of Sourceforge as a preferred hosting site (presuming they don't go braindead as well).

@gctechs And Hilary Clinton. Maybe even Commie-la Harris.

"Richard Stallman" ? (yes, I already know what the spam actually said, but "Richard Stallman" would be funnier)

I think these projects, and the rest of the wokesters, are promoting plenty of division on their own.

I tore off the port-side wing on my airplane and replaced it with another starboard side wing... (actually, the opposite of that sounds PRECISELY like something the far-left wokesters would do).

@terminalvelocity4858 It's why I think we all should take a break from Linux and the other woke projects and work on ReactOS. It will piss off the WokeLinux people *AND* Microsoft.

Nah, I've heard of them years ago, and I wasn't at all impressed with them.

I'd like to load a newer AOSP-based build on my wife's old G6 Play as well (and my E5 Play). There's something wrong with Motorola's unlock site where I can't unlock my E5, even though I bought it unlocked and fully mine.
