  2.  @andrewmackenzie2638  Apple just wants their suppliers running something suckier than MacOS. If they told them to run Linux instead those suppliers might find they like it better than MacOS/iOS.

  3. Maybe Apple will lock down schematics and scrap parts leaking out enough that the cost of repairing them will be driven out of affordability. When Macs and whyPhones can't be repaired any longer, and the only option left is to buy yet ANOTHER overpriced and poorly-built Mac or whyPhone (oh, did you want to recover your DATA? Too bad, sucker), perhaps their market will dwindle to the point where their won't be enough sales to sustain the company. One can only hope they drive themselves to bankruptcy and oblivion.
