@Plackomiot The problem in Android is *EVERY* app you install thinks it should be perpetually running in the background ALL THE TIME. When I play a silitaire game, and then I exit the app, it should close COMPLETELY. If I use an app maybe once or twice a month (the calculator, for example), there is absolutely NO reason for it to run anything when it's not being used. And I despise those built-in apps that not only can't be uninstalled, but also can't be disabled. Android devices should work like a Linux desktop/laptop computer (and like MSWin used to work) where anything and everything can be uninstalled or never installed in the first place. Yes, I know there are projects like LineageOS, but far too many devices lock down the bootloader and firmware so you can't replace them (this should be forbidden as well). I expect it's probably worse with iOS, the only mobile Apple device I have is an iPad2 (sitting in a drawer somewhere) so I can't verify that.
