  1. Funny you should mention spending $75 at a flea-market, that's how I bought my mid-2010 MBP.... (or were you referring to me anyway <g>). But I suspect Apple's intent here was to find a "defect issue" they could make themselves look good with (by being "proactive") without it being one they would have to actually spend time and money fixing, since it is exceedingly rare (and for all we know was staged for this PR bullshit anyway).
