  1. I don't see why the Firefox derivatives couldn't set up a "consortium" (probably the wrong term) the same way Chromium-based browsers are setting up now. Have something like a "Zilla-core" project (a name that isn't directly using the Mozilla or Firefox trademarks, but shows obvious heritage) to collaborate on common code. I'd think Thunderbird, Betterbird & Epyrus should be part of "Zilla-Core" as well. The question is where to host it. Sure, GitHub or GitLab would be obvious choices, but might also want to consider Sourceforge & other alternatives as well.
