  1. I don't even know why someone would bother running Linux on a MacBook. It's a grossly overpriced machine that is severely locked down. The memory is welded to the motherboard. The storage is welded to the motherboard. You can't upgrade it. You can't repair it. The components are serialized to each other so you can't even replace parts even IF you can find them. Use hardware that is more open, more repairable and more upgradable.
