  2. Putin made his country a pariah, not the West. He’s been planning this invasion for many years. He has a cash reserve of at least 600 billion USD, built up specifically over the years so that he can withstand Western sanctions when he implements his war plan. I believe Ukraine is just the first country on his imperialist agenda, Finland and Poland will be next. He’s determined to takeover any territory formerly part of the Soviet Block, simply for his own glorification. He’s never been interested in diplomacy, nor are his “historical” excuses genuine, he’s just determined to get what he wants to keep himself in power and build his legacy. I believe many Westerners like me would choose to intervene militarily, but the nuclear threat is just too risky, I’m still stunned that he’s making this threat.
