I’m afraid to admit nowadays that I favor a strong military, everyone is so ultra-liberal in my area, people act like they want to kill me for it, apparently that would be a politically correct use of force. The reality is that force or power is the one thing every human being understands, sitting around holding hands and singing Cumbaya doesn’t usually work. It’s use should be the last resort, but it can be necessary. For me, the most important thing is what the people of Ukraine want, to rejoin Russia or remain separate? I have heard different Ukrainian people state both opinions in the media.

  2. I don’t know how old you are, but the Ukraine is what we English-speakers have called it for the last few hundred years. It’s not always easy to remember the latest politically-correct version of everything. Plus, English puts articles, definite or indefinite, where other languages don’t. Traditionally, it was the Ukraine, a region of the Russian Empire. If you read history, you will see this usage everywhere.
