  1. As someone with an interest Japanese culture, this was an excellent episode. It's one of those stories that feels like a puzzle piece fell into place with regard to how history developed. A language note: issei and nisei literally mean first and second generation. The "iss" in issei is a contracted form of ichi (one) and "ni" means two.
