So if a person is kicking with their feet, wouldn't they do a similar thing? They could even kick them together to be more like a fish. Surely athletes are also making use of this? I guess my question is: If I can outrun an olympic athlete swimming (which actually I doubt), can I outrun a fish swimming? There were some assumptions I'd like to question. Namely, that humans don't make use of this when they swim.

Of course people also use flippers or mermaid flippers, that must exactly be enhancing this ability to swap the vortexes.
