To understand if the price for the apartment is good or bad, you have to know the median wage in Russia. It is 370 $/month or 2.20 $/hour.

The min. wage in Russia is 156$/month (netto). So you can't afford this apartment. If you earn the median russian wage, it is about 370$/month, you have to work 10.5 days in a month for it.

@АНДРЕЙ3500 You are wrong. A average is always a single number, not a interval. The average salary in Russia in 2024 is 770 $/month (brutto) or 670 $ (netto).
2
@sashaz1979 I did not compare russian wage with us-wage. You did it.
2
@АНДРЕЙ3500 Please tell that to Russel. He is comparing all stuff in his videos to US-$.
2
More precise: 50% of working people have less than ~400$, the another 50% have more than ~400$. The median salary in Russia is about 370$/month (netto).

@sashaz1979 "Доля затрат на аренду однокомнатной квартиры в Москве в ноябре 2024 года достигла 73,4% от уровня средних зарплат, предлагаемых работодателями жителям столицы, подсчитала «РБК-Недвижимость»."

I think you know what does it mean "median wage"? 50% of workers earn more than 370$/month, the another 50% earn less than 370$/month. Your kfc-clerc earns more than median, his salary is about 440$/month (netto), so he has to work 9 days for this apartment.

@sashaz1979 You are wrong. The minimum wage in Russia is 42% of the median wage. The minimum wage is 19,242 rubel = 180 $, that's the low. So the median wage is 425 $ (brutto) or 370 $ (netto).
1
@sashaz1979 You are right, the average is not equal to the median. The average salary in Russia is 670$/month, the median - 370$/month. And yes, this difference has a link to the Gini coefficient.

@АНДРЕЙ3500 How much do you pay in Russia for a IPhone, butter or plane ticket now and how much did you pay for it two years ago. The same, if Russia sell oil and gas abroad. You will see, all things you buy or sell are calculated in $.
1
@АНДРЕЙ3500 Don't trust in телевизор. But trust in the russian low. The minimum wage in Russia is 42% of the median wage. The minimum wage is 19,242 rubel = 180 $, that's the low. So the median wage is 425 $ (brutto) or 370 $ (netto).

@АНДРЕЙ3500 Unfortunatly you don't know what is "a median salary". Once you have learned that, come back to this discussion.

@junglesuperstar9270 You are wrong. Minimum wage in Moscow is 29,389 rubel or 294 $/month.

@sashaz1979 If a party or a president of a country wins the election with more than 66%, then it is unlikely the country is a democratic one. With 80% is it certanly undemocratic.

"7.11.24, 02:01 РБК: цена аренды однушки в Москве почти достигла 75% от уровня средних зарплат Аренда жилья в Москве стала рекордно дорого обходиться жителям города - доля затрат на "однушку" в ноябре достигла 73,4% от уровня средних зарплат в столице."

It's easy to understand wheteher flats in Russia or US are more affordable. An average US American can afford 75 square meters, an average Russian 27 square meters.
