Comments by "" (@tarifkunde) on "Russian TYPICAL (Discount) Supermarket: Chesnok" video.
The supermarket is definitly not empty, I saw five customers, a camera operator and three employees. Some russians are at work and will arrive at 17:30 h, pensioners use food delivery and the rest of russians are on vacation abroad. Am I right? 😂

This video is from Korolev, it is a city with 220.000 citizens and located northeast of Moscow. A guy working there for Pyatyorochka earns 410€/month before tax or 360€ after taxes = 2.12€/hour. If he works a hour he can buy 4.5 kg flour, or 1 kg tomatoes, or 3 cans of beer in Chesnok. In Austria a guy wich works for Lidl (German discounter in Austria) earns 2.010 €/month after taxes and insurences or 10.90 €/hour. He can afford 12 kg flour (0.9€/kg) or 2,5 kg tomatoes (4€/kg), or 10 cans of beer. Can someone explain to me, why russians so poor in one of the richest country in the world?

This is what Aldi and Lidl looked like 30-40 years ago.

A freindly reminder: The minimum wage in Moscow is about 1.90 €/hour, in the rest of Russia 1.20 €.

😂

Cheap prices for people from EU and US. For Russians these prices are very expesive.

Sorry, I was wrong. The prices for flour are currently falling in Austria, it costs 0.75 €/kg, so the guy from LIDL can afford 14.5 kg for his hourly wage. I heard, Russia is the worlds largest producer of wheat, but the people there can afford only 30% flour compared to an austrian. Incredible! What is Russia doing wrong?!

@ЛеонидС-ъ8к Oh dear! It's not about flour. It is about prices for all the food you need. A Russian spends 31.2% of his income for food, if he lives in a town. The figures for village: 36.6%. An Austrian spends 11% of his income for the food.
2
@olegyakovlev3438 It is very easy. A Russian spends 32% of his income for food, if he lives in a town and 36% if he lives in a village. An (e.g.) Austrian spends for food 11% of his income.

Yes, this facility used to be a Perekryostok in the past.

@junglesuperstar9270 Now I know, why a "russian factory worker" only lives 60 years. He spends for medical care zero. Thank you for explanation!

Tradition values from wich era. Iron age or stone age? Please spcify.

It is possible to learn to evaluate the quality of food by watching a video about food? Or are you a natural talent? 😂😂😂

Aldi has much more vegetables.

Some people are at work and the rest on vacation abroad, pensioners and children don't eat. 😂

Compared to the salaries the food in Russia is very expensive. Milk, butter, flour, bananas, tomatoes, sunflour oil... are in Russia 200%-250% more expensive than in Austria.

user-zc2jj2ow3r How would you describe a economy, where people get 1.20€ per hour if they get a minimum wage? A tube of toothpasta costs 1.50€, an one kg bananas costs 1.60€.

@Alx_T. All prices and salaries for Korolev (not Moscow!) you can find on internet: An emploee of Pyatyorochka in Korolev earns 41.000 rubels or 410€ (on avito) before taxes. A kWh in Korolev costs 5.05 rubels (on energovopros). If you are consuming 250 kwh/month (standard for a austrian single household) you will pay 1.262 rubels or 12 € for electricity only. Please check your calculation and all the figures twice before publishing. Can you tell me the precise figures about PPP of russian rubel. What does this variance mean 3000-4000 $? Unfortunatly I did not find your figures on internet. Do you have a link to PPP of rubel. Thank you.

@ЛеонидС-ъ8к Please read carefully: The guy from LIDL already payed taxes AND insurances, including the insurance for medical care, so he doesn't pay additionally at the dantist. The kindergarden costs about 80€/month in Austria. You pay only meals, the kindergarden itself is financed with taxes. Internet costs 30 €/month.

user-zc2jj2ow3r I guess you a kidding, if you are talking about votes in Russia. The same question could you ask, why people "voted" for Ceaușescu in Romania, for Honecker in the GDR or for comunist party in the SU. Or why did fly all russians in SU with Aeroflot. Because the didn't realy have a choice.

user-zc2jj2ow3r The results are very easy to explain. Russia earns all the money with oil. If the oil prices at 80 $/barrel you have in Russia foods in the stores, the prices are 250% higher than in a Western country (compared to salaries). If the prices for oil were at 15$ like 1998, you will have still food with less choice but 500% more expensive than in a Western country.
