I remember when I made the minimum as a kid, and when I complained, I was told hat raising it would make everything else go up, so it would cancel itself, and that jobs like this existed for KIDS like me to have spending money, learn to work, etc. I called BS, and was impolitely told to get an education, or experience, if I wanted a real job, and that the minimum wage jobs were not meant to live, raise a family, and retire on.
