  1. When I was younger, I was taught that very few monopolies were allowed in America, but the few that were had to be "on top of their game", so to speak. Like Ma Bell was. Your power company(s) need to be dismantled on the corporate level and re-structured to fit the needs of consumers, not shareholders.

  4.  @A_name_is_a_name  I wasn't talking about the actual, physical, engineered production of energy. I was talking about corporate management. I realize, of course, the two are intertwined to an extent, but the obvious reason for this problem is mismanagement by greedy shareholders, and the evidence to prove it exists in abundance.
