  1. Great video. We're a century late in advocating for 30 hour work weeks. Even within the medical field the efficiency drop-off after 8-10 hours of work is palpable, and as a result of various constraints we're pushed to 12, 14, 16 or even longer hour shifts. At least some skeleton of economic planning and proper state investment can sort all these issues out, whilst maintaining if not outright increasing output (if that's even important/desirable in the relevant field). Definitely a missed point on the left.

  2. I get the title is clickbait so people watch but that's such a stupid way to title a video lol The Ottomans weren't the "most powerful" or "greatest" Islamic empire either. Plenty of mosques are built in regional and local styles; not everything needs to be defined through how it's perceived by European eyes. Turkish immigrants to Europe plus Turkish government financing for mosque building results in mostly Turkish style mosques; that doesn't mean that's what a mosque looks like. And no, a dome doesn't need to be present, really. Most smaller mosques have no dome at all, and many incredibly old mosques people pass daily are rectangular with open courtyards and again, no dome. It all depends on where you are. The video is interesting but the presentation is just silly. You lightly touch on this in the end but imo a lot more (very interesting!) nuance could've been included.
