  2. It's not that much of a stretch to assume that if they are paying for their cell phone contracts (or prepaid cards, if they have those in the UK) and their internet access, they are probably also still paying for their TV license.

  5. I would imagine that meant emissions from unnatural sources (cars, factories, etc...).

  6.  @fredo1070  I'm not sure if electricity generated by solar panels would be enough to operate a central heating system at this point, but that surely can't be too far off. Right now, however, there's always wood and gas via fireplaces and heating stoves.

  7.  @fredo1070  I don't live in the UK, so I don't know what other options you'd have available if gas and wood aren't going to be available in the near future.
