  2. The answer to the question is a resounding "No" as long as the polls gauge nationwide opinion as opposed to the opinions of voters in each individual state. Under the current process we have to elect a president, how people nationwide plan on voting has no relevance. It's which candidate is ahead in each state that's going to give some idea of who might win in November.
