  1. Archie isn't a prince because he's the great-grandson of a monarch and not the child of the direct heir (as opposed to the Cambridge children). The only title that can be used is the courtesy title of Earl of Dumbarton (the senior of Harry's secondary titles), but his parents chose not to do so.

Other than it being a rare instance in which a member of the British Royal Family directly addresses an accusation leveled against him/her or the family as a whole, I don't see what the big deal is about William's comment. Of course he's going to deny that he and the Royal Family aren't racist.
