I hate to be cynical, but I don't think these businesses are offering this out of altruistic motives. It's simply cheaper in the long run to keep their female workers from having kids.

@rsmith6366 Most medical insurances don't cover travel expenses if a person has to go out of state for most other procedures (e.g., specialized cancer treatments).

Not anymore. DeSantis just signed a new abortion law limiting it to 15 weeks or less.

Plus, the added medical insurance for the kids and disruptions to the mother's schedule because of the kids' needs (e.g., Mom can't come in because little Suzie is ill).

@jptrainor I was simply pointing out that the 24 week limit in Florida is no longer accurate, not offering an opinion about it.

@johnnymonoxide9220 How is a company's willingness (or not) to pay decent wages tied to its stance on abortion?

@youubik Squawking phrases like "virtue signaling" doesn't exactly show off the education you were to supposed to have received either.

@johnnymonoxide9220 "Leftists"? "Woke"? Really showing off that first class education, aren't you?

@wolfiestreet6899 Because "virtue signaling" is what I call a parrot phrase. Meaning that people who "squawk" it are only doing so because they heard or read someone else (usually a media personality) say it and they want to sound trendy as well. Well, they don't sound trendy, they sound immature and uneducated.
