@George-sc4yh Gerrymandering had very, very, very little to do with Trump's win. In every state, except for Nebraska and Maine, it's the statewide popular vote that determines which candidate receives the Electoral College votes for that state. How the state's US Congressional districts are drawn up have nothing to do with it (again, with the exception of Nebraska and Maine).

@Irish_1916 You can't lose something that's not part of the game. The nationwide popular vote is not how we elect a President in the US, so Clinton receiving more votes than Trump nationwide is simply a piece of trivia for historians and Jeopardy contestants.

@Irish_1916 I'll be the first to say that we are overdue for a national conversation regarding the Electoral College and what should replace it should we decide to scrap it. However, I wouldn't call that system totally undemocratic. The popular vote is heeded, just at the statewide level rather than the national level.
