+InsaneMusic576 They'd be even kinder if we could have a Wholock Children in Need or Comic Relief sketch.

Sherlock's green plaid suit: more than a bit not good.

+NiCoDeimus I'm hoping we'll see a few more references to the Brett series throughout the special.

+TJ Wells That would be nice. If he is in it, I wonder if Andrew Scott will portray Moriarty closer to how the books depict him instead of his Joker-esque / Simm Master persona? I do like how Andrew Scott portrays Moriarty, but I generally prefer my supervillains to be more cool, calm, and calculating. I'm weird, I know. : )

+chrizzo006 I have a sneaking suspicion we'll see quite a few references, subtle or otherwise, to the Brett series throughout this special.

+Bob Tom It's a one-off Christmas special.
1
+Claire McCoy It's a one off special that Moffat and Gatiss are doing for fun. The original stories were written and set in the Victorian era.

***** Just think of it as a alternate universe fanfic we get to see instead of read. : )

+Connor Lachmanec I suspect we'll be seeing quite a few of those throughout the special.

+Afif Ibrahim I'm not sure what year this particular special is supposed to be set in, but I'm guessing either within the 1880's or 1890's.

Afif Ibrahim Yes, I know the first three seasons are set in the modern era, but the Christmas special is set in the Victorian era. This time period is when the original Sherlock Holmes stories were written and set.

+Grace Skerp I have a sneaking suspicion we'll see quite a few references, subtle or otherwise, to the Brett series throughout this special.

+Taylor Lynn I don't think so. I think this will be a regular story, just set in the Victorian era. However, having said that, I do think there will be references to the popular 1980's Granada Sherlock Holmes series that starred Jeremy Brett. But not so obvious as to make this episode look like a parody.
1
James O'Blivion I have a sneaking suspicion we'll be seeing quite a few Granada shout-outs in this special.

Wow, what a difference in the tone between this clip and the trailer!

+Code Revolution I just finished re-reading Hound of the Baskervilles. I don't know why Holmes is complaining, it was his decision. : )
