I have a sneaking suspicion that once Charles ascends the throne, that crowd on the balcony will be thinned out some. He's supposedly on record as wanting to downsize the Royal Family to just him, Camilla, his sons and their families.

I suspect that when Charles becomes king, that balcony will become less crowded. It'll probably just be him, Camilla, his sons and their families.

I didn't think about this until the male announcer mentioned that Prince William expressed a wish that all of his children would somehow become involved with the military, but wouldn't it be fascinating if Princess Charlotte decided to make a career in one of the branches? She'd be the first British princess to do so.

She was barely in this video. It must be really sad to let one person have that much power over you that a brief glimpse upsets you that much.

Considering that William and Catherine are the couple that will become King and Queen in due course, it's perfectly natural to pay more attention to them.

@TheMoonRover "Duchess Meghan" isn't correct either. It's the Duchess of Sussex. You don't pair a title of nobility (e.g., Duke, Earl, Viscount, etc...) with the holder's first name (e.g., Diana's brother is Earl Spencer, not Earl Charles).

@orbachinpothik3279 I was thinking more along the lines of making the military an actual career like Harry and Andrew.

The next major one is probably going to be Archie's christening.
4
What would you rather have her do, frown and stick out her tongue at the cameras? đ
4
@jason4275 I doubt it. By the time William becomes king, all the Cambridge children will probably have at least one child each, which will make the likelihood of Archie and any subsequent Sussex children (if any) inheriting the throne slim to none. There'd be no point in granting a title of prince or princess then.
4
So sad that someone who was shown for maybe two or three seconds upset you so much.
3
@jason4275 That's true, but the point I was trying to make is that if someone was born without the title of prince / princess and is far enough down the line that there's no realistic chance that she / he will ever become the monarch, I don't see why that person would be granted the title.

If you really meant that last sentence, you wouldn't have wasted your time clicking on this video, much less commenting on it.

Diana Burnett Someone has to show sympathy for people like you who've had their lives ruined by Meghan simply existing.
2
@LE-zy2od The closest Meghan would ever get to that is if George inherits the throne while still a minor. In that scenario, more than likely Harry would be George's regent until he comes of age.
2
@LE-zy2od You might want to check the official website of the British Monarchy. As of right this moment, Harry is sixth in line. There is always the possibility he could become king, but with William having three children, the likelihood is pretty low. https://www.royal.uk/succession

Diana Burnett "I'm over them so much that I'm going to mention them as often as possible," said people who need to assess their lives.

@CLUB BRENDAN What's wrong with the one the Sussexes have now?
1
@LE-zy2od I've seen just about every major royal baby since William was born and I think Archie (no "HRH Prince" in front of his name) has to be the most adorable.
1
@LE-zy2od It doesn't matter what I like or don't like, the baby is not a prince.
1
@LE-zy2od Cite the official source that claims he's a prince.
1
Albert Windsor, a grandson of the Duke of Kent.

@CiarĂĄn Ryan : Wouldn't that depend on why the medals were awarded? I could understand being upset if, for example, Charles was awarded a medal for exceptional bravery in combat since he never served in a war zone.
1
@karolswet1398 I don't think the appearance on the balcony was the first time any of the Royal Family had seen each other that day. Any "hellos" were probably exchanged hours before.
1
@LE-zy2od And what does that have to do with a hypothetical scenario in which Harry becomes regent for a minor King George VII / VIII (number depending upon what reigning name Charles decides to use)?

What's a bumb?

Just about every member of the extended Royal Family is expected to attend this event, including Meghan.
