Unless Trump can beat Reagan's 525 - 13 Electoral College vote win over Mondale in 1984, Trump won't win by a landslide (should he win).

@MrMaharlika1016 I never said it was a competition between Reagan and Trump. If Trump wins in 2020, it won't matter whether it's by 1 or 538 electoral votes. My point is that, in my opinion, the hypothetical win shouldn't be described as a "landslide" if the margin isn't as large as Reagan's 1984 win.

The US government shouldn't be openly supporting opposition movements in not so friendly countries. All it accomplishes is to give the foreign government ammunition to discredit the opposition.
1
@ApollosGift But if it wants to encourage opposition movements, it shouldn't be publicly stating those opinions.

@ApollosGift I'm not talking about individuals within the US not being allowed to express their opinions on Hong Kong, which they are free to do. What I'm saying is that I think it's not wise for the US government to express its opinion because I think it would hurt the opposition movement more than it would help.

@ApollosGift You don't seem to be understanding the point I'm trying to make. Just because an opinion can be expressed, doesn't mean it should.
1
@ApollosGift You seem to have some difficulty understanding the difference between being allowed to do something and whether it's a wise decision to do so.

@Truth But that promise had two parts. The first was to build it and the second was that Mexico was going to pay for it. He's making very tiny baby steps towards the first part, but hasn't collected un centavo from Mexico.

That would all depend on the Senate. The Constitution allows the Senate to further punish a removed President by forbidding him/her to hold any federal "Office of honor, Trust or Profit" (Article I, Section 3 of the US Constitution). Besides, any Vice President the hypothetical President Pence would nominate has to be approved by a majority of both houses of Congress, so I don't think the very people who kicked Trump out would be all that eager to have him back, even if it's as Vice President.
