  1. The US government shouldn't be openly supporting opposition movements in not so friendly countries. All it accomplishes is to give the foreign government ammunition to discredit the opposition.

  2.  @ApollosGift  But if it wants to encourage opposition movements, it shouldn't be publicly stating those opinions.

  3.  @ApollosGift  I'm not talking about individuals within the US not being allowed to express their opinions on Hong Kong, which they are free to do. What I'm saying is that I think it's not wise for the US government to express its opinion because I think it would hurt the opposition movement more than it would help.
