Why title the video, "Should Grocery Workers Be Considered First Responders?", if the narrator isn't going to present a case for and/or against?
1
@ThatGuy68580 If it's that obvious, then please show off your superiority by providing the proof I was asking for.
1
@ThatGuy68580 You never showed any evidence.
1
@brokendrifter4626 If it's supposedly that obvious, why isn't anyone showing me any evidence?
1
@ThatGuy68580 The fact that you're not wanting to show off your superior knowledge tells me exactly what I need to know about your actual lack of knowledge.

Most companies that offer health insurance have pregnancy coverage and allow the children that are born to be added to the insurance of the employee. So it seems to me that equivalent benefits would be given.
1
@rwh5350 "Would this coverage be available for male employees to use for women they impregnate whether employees or not?" I would say, more than likely, no for women who aren't the male employees' spouses or kids since most employee health plans don't cover people unrelated to the employees and, more than likely, yes for those women who are the spouses or kids of the employees. But since I don't work for any of these companies offering the benefit, I'm just making an educated guess.

@marymontag3116 "... it’s okay for the left to smear but not the right?????" Shouldn't people like you want to show how superior you are to the "left" by not engaging in vulgar name calling?

I don't see how eliminating the protections of Section 230 will resolve anything for those who are whining that Facebook, Twitter, etc..., aren't promoting their views unchallenged. If social media platforms have to be more careful about what is posted to their sites, then they are going to clamp down even harder on accounts that consistently post misleading, incorrect, and/or inflammatory content.
1
@furtivedolus2504 Your opinion as to what companies should and shouldn't be allowed to do is not US law. If you can't answer my request as written, then just admit it.
1
@MrHobomidget I never said otherwise. 😕
1
@mercurialpierrot7073 "These 'private companies' are linked to our government. They came together and deplatfomed a whole platform. You don't see a problem with that?" I'm not quite sure what you're asking. "Linked" in what way? What is "deplatforming" a platform?
1
@Matt-ro7cb If it's a private business, a phone company should have the right to deny service to anyone it believes is using its services to encourage others to commit violent acts or other crimes. In regards to the "sacred" Section 230, you might want to look at one of my earlier posts: "I don't see how eliminating the protections of Section 230 will resolve anything for those who are whining that Facebook, Twitter, etc..., aren't promoting their views unchallenged. If social media platforms have to be more careful about what is posted to their sites, then they are going to clamp down even harder on accounts that consistently post misleading, incorrect, and/or inflammatory content."

@cmj_87 Unless you're pure Native American, more than likely you wouldn't exist if it hadn't been for Columbus' voyages spurring European settlement of the Americas.
1
@cmj_87 No, I'm not excusing what Columbus, those with him, and those who came after him did to the indigenous populations of the Americas. However, that doesn't mean those of us of European ancestry in the New World can't acknowledge that we owe our existence to Columbus' voyages.
1
@cmj_87 I don't celebrate the holiday myself (i.e., I don't go to parades or similar events) and couldn't care less if anyone else does or not. But you don't have to go to parades and the like to acknowledge the history changing event. And by acknowledging said event, that includes both the good and the bad.
1
@Linda Foxwood: No, the job of VOA isn't to protect the US Constitution, it's to report on domestic and international news and to promote US values and culture to an international audience.
1
Trump, or any other US President for that matter, really can't publicly show any support for an unfriendly country's protest movement because that will give the unfriendly country's government ammo to discredit the protesters and their grievances.
1
Wouldn't a better idea be to not click on them in the first place?
1
I guess you've never been to see a dentist then.
1
Where in the video was the political affiliation of either the cops or the newspaper owner mentioned?
1
That you're squawking "w--e" instead of using your own thoughts is the real disaster.
1
@MrMikeyBmore If you were expressing your own thoughts instead of the ones someone else told you to say, you'd be addressing my original comment instead of talking about numbers that have no relevance to anyone except those financially dependent on the movie's sales.

Happy New Year, France!
1
Why would such a fascist law be needed? If you don't like how the front of a store looks, don't patronize the business.
1
If Trump were to die, yet win the election anyway, what would more than likely happen is that the electors pledged to Trump would vote for Pence instead. I'm not sure who would end up being VP, though.
1
@Eric Enloe: The backlash is a reaction to what Trump actually said.
1
@Hidayat: What I found so funny (in the ironic sense) about invading Iraq and not finding those WMDs that were supposed to have been there was that if there were any to begin with, Bush gave Saddam plenty of time (about a year, if I'm not mistaken) to hide, sell, and/or dispose of them. I told someone at the time that what Bush did was akin to our local sheriff saying every day for a year that he was going to bring down a specific drug dealer, then wondering why there was no evidence when he finally raided the dealer's drug den.
1
That's US law. The military can't be used as domestic law enforcement.
1
NYC is already a pretty solid Democratic city.
1
VOA is government funded, not government controlled (as far as its output is concerned).
1
Just because it reported something you didn't want to hear?
1
@ I've been listening to VOA for approximately 35 years. How exactly is it "acting against our interests"?
1
@RememberAuroraColoradoUSA Why can't people like you just come out and say what exactly is incorrect and provide proof to support that? Just saying something is a lie would be like a prosecutor saying a defendant is guilty but never telling the jury why.
1
@RememberAuroraColoradoUSA In other words, you can't back up your accusation.
1
If more people vote for Stein than Harris, that's Harris' fault for not convincing those voters that she would be the better choice.
1
If it's ever put to a vote in the House, I believe Trump will be impeached. It's his removal by the Senate that will probably not happen as long as the majority in that body are Trump posterior puckers.
1
@tigerlilly7204 Using parrot words and phrases like "Fisa" tells me that you don't want to have a sensible and mature conversation.
1
And power corrupts.
1
And Alabama, Georgia, and especially the Carolinas.
1
And of course you have proof of this and turned in said proof to the appropriate authorities?
1
Assuming you're American, the only way Biden isn't your President is if you renounce your citizenship.
1
@Inhkj: Bit presumptuous of you to declare what God will and won't do.
1
@alejandraperez4991 Well, my faith states that I am not above God in that I can declare what He will or won't do, especially if it's something I want rather than what He wants.
1
Nobody seems to be trying to cross. They're just having fun.
1
You don't think nuclear power plants wouldn't be vulnerable to cyberattacks as well?
1
The number of Democratic candidates at this point is probably not a good indicator of the party's potential success (or lack of) in 2020. If I'm remembering correctly, at this time in 2015, there were still a good handful of Republican Presidential candidates. I don't remember the exact number, but I believe it was at least ten.
1
Wouldn't he have arrived in Seattle if that was the case?
1
I'd say this country has lost touch with common sense for way longer than three and a half years.
1
What does your imaginary friend have to do with this video?
