  1. The one woman mentioned that one of the things to make international students feel more welcome at US colleges was offering English language classes. That puzzles me simply because if I was looking into attending college abroad, I wouldn't pick a country in which I wasn't a native speaker or had near native language fluency in the language of instruction already. College is hard enough even when you do understand the language the professors are speaking.
