  3. Ironically, censorship itself was referred to in that cartoon with the "naked" proto-Tweety. At one point, one cat was climbing the tree the nest was in and the other cat, getting impatient, yells for the first cat to give him the bird. The first cat said that if the Hayes Office would let him, he'd give him (the second cat) the"bird" all right.
