  1. +Teebz 1000 I think the big difference was the age of the actors / characters. There were people here in the States that were uncomfortable with the idea of underage actors / characters engaging in sex acts and drug use.

  2. +Rossm3838 In regards to the shows you mentioned, very few people in the US had seen the British version of those shows. That's part of the reason why I think their American remakes did so well. No comparisons to the originals. The original British (and the one Australian) shows in this video, however, are widely available to US viewers. Much of the target audience for the American remakes have seen the originals already, so there will be comparisons that don't favor the remakes.
