  4. +Απόστολος Κοκκαλης In regards to the actor that best portrays the character of Sherlock Holmes as presented in the original stories, I'll wholeheartedly agree that the best was Jeremy Brett. Now as far as Cumberbatch is concerned, if you don't like him as an actor in general, that's fine. Everyone to their own opinion and all that. However, if you don't think he's a good actor because he doesn't portray Sherlock Holmes exactly as in the stories, just remember that he's only acting out what was written for him. If you don't like the characterization, blame Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.

  7. +IlikeTrainsguy100: Despite the pictures in this video's thumbnail and the clips shown, the contest was supposed to have been between the two characters, not the two current TV shows in which they feature. With that in mind, although I consider myself a bigger fan of the Doctor than of Sherlock Holmes, I've got to say that Sherlock is the more iconic character.
