  1. #8 -- That bit about patients being able to request their own tests makes no sense. If a test result led a patient to seek medical treatment, the first thing a doctor will do is order the same test (conducted in the traditional manner) to confirm the diagnosis. And then there's the wonderful world of insurance to consider. Insurance companies will not pay for any blood tests not requested by a doctor, so patients are going to have to pay out of pocket.
