  2. In Doctor Strange's movie, it was claimed that when you looked into the future, you couldn't see beyond the time you died. That being the case, Strange is either not actually dead and his astral form is floating about somewhere or he is totally dead, but will somehow be resurrected in time to see Thanos' final defeat. Otherwise, he shouldn't have been able to see that one time line in which the Avengers prevail.

  3. The only one I can't see that theory applying to is Doctor Strange. Yes, another sorcerer could come forward to take up his position at the Sanctum Sanctorum, but that person wouldn't be called "Doctor Strange" since "Doctor Strange" isn't (as Peter phrased it) a "made up name".

  4. +Jason Gelband What my mind zeroed in on in the original post was that there had been or could be multiple people using the same superhero title (e.g., Peter Parker & Miles Morales were both Spider Man). However, if Doctor Strange never comes back, there could be a new sorcerer character fulfilling the same role, but he/she couldn't actually call his/herself "Doctor Strange" (unless that person happens to be a relative of Strange's and a doctor in his/her own right).
