  2. +David Loomis It really wasn't the HIV, it was what Magic Johnson did that caused him to contract HIV that prompted companies to drop him. Personally, I find it hypocritical for him to have been dropped when you know that there are other sports figures who do the same thing or worse that continue to get paid millions of dollars a year from these same companies.

  4. +ukulele177 No one is perfect, but when a company hires someone to be its spokesperson, they expect him/her to publicly behave in a way that doesn't bring bad publicity to the company.

Joshua Lopez   I can't think of anyone that still listens to him either.  I'll confess that I used to listen to him for a short time back in the early 90's, but I quickly got sick and tired of him not letting anyone but him talk (even when I agreed with him), especially if that person had an opposing view.

  8. We all know it wasn't the virus itself that got Magic Johnson dropped as a spokesperson, but the admission that he slept around. I find it quite hypocritical on the part of those companies considering how many sports figures do the same thing or even worse, yet make millions of dollars a year from these same companies as spokesmen.
