  1. Harry isn't abdicating the throne since he's not the current monarch. Harry was allowed to marry Meghan without any (public) fuss from the Establishment of the day. Meghan is HRH the Duchess of Sussex. The Duchess of Windsor was never granted that style. If Harry and Meghan's living arrangements go according to their plan, they won't need to have the current monarch's permission to travel back to the UK or risk losing their stipend. In what way is the Sussexes' situation the same as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor?
