  1. Other than the videos for The National, the videos I usually see with the comment section disabled are those whose topics tend to attract people who can't act like mature human beings online.

  2. Other than the videos for The National, the only CBC News videos I see with the comment section disabled are those whose topics usually attract uncivil people. So perhaps if people could behave themselves, the CBC wouldn't need to disable the comment section on some videos.

  3. @Beer Kife If the videos posted were mine, then yes, I would get to decide what is civil behavior in the comment section. However, the videos we're discussing belong to the CBC, so it makes those decisions. If you think CBC's decision to block comments on certain videos is wrong, take it up with the CBC itself and/or your MP (if you're Canadian).
