If Prince Philip was leaving the estate, I'm sure there was a protection officer with him.

On what grounds? So far, there hasn't been any official declaration that the Prince was at fault.

@paulgibbons2320 Other than legally banning Prince Philip from driving and ordering him to pay restitution to the other driver for damages (assuming the police find he was at fault), what exactly can be done anyway? I can't see him (or anyone else in his position as the driver) facing jail time for what thankfully turned out to be a minor(ish) accident.

@paulgibbons2320 Well, thankfully, nobody in the other car was seriously injured, so that's a moot point.

@paulgibbons2320 "Moot" generally means a point that has no relevance to the topic of conversation. https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/moot In regards to my previous post, the point was that since the people in the other car weren't killed, it's a moot point to wonder if Prince Philip would be charged with vehicular manslaughter (or whatever the UK equivalent is) or if he would skate by since he's a member of the Royal Family. But, if you really want to discuss it, my thought is that he'd probably wouldn't be charged regardless of who he was based simply on his age.
