  1. "Will RFK Jr. take more votes from Trump than Biden?" I've always hated that type of phrasing. It makes it sound as if the mainstream party candidates have some sort of right to people's votes. If Candidate A can't persuade enough people to vote for him, the responsibility for the failure lies with Candidate A, not Candidates B, C, or D.

  14. Exactly. Every time I listen or read discourse about what to do about illegal immigration, no one ever talks about cracking down on the people who hire them. I won't say it's the only answer, but I'd wager that if the penalties and jail time were made as severe as possible for those that hire illegal immigrants, we'd see a drastic drop.

  29. DC wasn't made a state when its residents were finally allowed to vote for President, so why couldn't something similar happen as far as representation in Congress? Yes, I know Constitutional amendments can take time, but it seems like the best compromise between DC becoming a state and allowing voting representatives to me.

  48. It's understandable. I can't speak for anyone else, but in cases like this, where I didn't personally know the deceased, any sadness I feel tends to be for the family and friends who are missing their loved one. Even more so when it's a child or pet who has lost a parent or owner.
